A 52-year-old Saugus man is in federal custody after he allegedly sent threatening text messages to a man from Maine over a $100,000 debt linked to an escort service.

Enfanto, according to the court records, is the owner of Perfect Pleasures Escort Service based in Windham, Maine. The victim, according to an FBI affidavit, has been a customer of Enfantoâs for about eight years and routinely sent personal checks to Enfantoâs home on Curtis Road in Saugus to pay for services he received.

Enfanto told J.D. that he owed him $100,000. âœEnfanto claimed that J.D. had contacted women from the escort service without going through Enfanto, and thus owed Enfanto for lost business,ââ FBI Special Agent Christopher D. Peavey wrote in an affidavit.

Saugus man charged in Maine escort service extortion case
ORTLAND, Maine — The owner of a Windham escort service has been charged with trying to extort money from a longtime client, according to federal court documents.
Nicholas Enfanto of Saugus, Mass., was arrested May 4 and charged with sending threatening interstate text messages to extort money from the client, identified in court documents as “J.D.” from Falmouth.
According to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court in Portland, J.D. had been a client of Enfanto’s Perfect Pleasure Escort Service, based in Windham, for at least eight years. J.D. told officials that he never paid the escorts directly, but mailed payments to Enfanto in Massachusetts.
In February, Enfanto sent J.D. text messages, accusing him of contacting escorts directly without going through Enfanto, the affidavit said. Enfanto claimed that J.D. owed him $100,000 for lost business and allegedly threatened J.D., saying at one point that he would shoot J.D. if he didn’t pay, the court documents said.

Cpl.  Marquardt was escorted from the Hingham town line on Derby Street to the Hingham Police Station at the Town Hall by the Hingham Police and Fire Department. Jermyn said the escort service is part of a long-standing tradition in Hingham.  Hingham police and fire and veterans traditionally escort soldiers, sailors, airman and marines who return from service, from the town line to their place of residence.  Although Marquardt lives in Halifax, Jermyn said the town considers the Hingham Police Station his second home.

To really underscore the feeling, the opera is based on a real story. Marie Duplessis was a courtesan who died in 1847 of consumption at the age of 23. She had several lovers despite her youth, including Franz Liszt and Alexandre Dumas, fils, son of the great novelist Alexandre Dumas. Dumas junior wrote a novel, The Lady of the Camellia, where the heroine is a thinly disguised Duplessis. The novel was adapted into a successful play, which Verdi saw, loved, and wanted to stage into an opera.

A Lowell man has been arraigned on charges of running a prostitution ring out of his Lowell home, as well as threatening and physically assaulting three women allegedly working for him, said the office of Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. Harold Jack Lucas, 57, allegedly ran the prostitution ring out of his 15 Ellsworth St. home, and offered shelter, drugs, and food to “homeless, drug-dependant women,’’ authorities said. Lucas was arraigned in Lowell Superior Court Wednesday and was held on $50,000 cash bail, said Leone’s office. Lucas is due back in court May 30.

In an attempt to crackdown on alleged prostitution, the city is moving forward with crafting an ordinance to bring the licensing of massage parlors under its control.
The city council approved a resolution presented by council president Robert Maiocco last week that asks for the city to create an ordinance to bring more local control over massage parlors and spas.
Since then, City Solicitor Mark Rumley has written an ordinance that would require massage businesses to be licensed by the city and could give the city power to shut establishments for violations.
The proposed ordinance still needs to be reviewed by Police Chief Leo Sacco and Health Department director Karen Rose. Rumley presented a draft of the ordinance to the city council Tuesday night.
The state’s Consumer Affairs Division of Professional Licensure oversees licensing all massage businesses in the state. But its staff is too small and scope of responsibility is too wide, Maiocco said Tuesday.
