Monday, January 23rd, 2012

Danvers resident and Lancaster Town Administrator Orlando Pacheco released an apology statement on Friday Jan. 20, in regard to his August drunk driving arrest, stating the lapse in judgement was “very out of character.”
On Aug. 25, police reported finding Pacheco passed out on the hood of his car at a Westborough gas station. Police said he had stopped at the gas station after coming from a bachelor party at a strip club in Worcester.
Westborough Police officer Steve Reale said when he arrived on scene Pacheco was slumped over the hood of his car, and his pants were partially pulled down.
“I sincerely regret the events of the evening that led to my arrest,” Pacheco said in a release, according to WHDH. “This lapse in judgment is very out of character for me. This has been a difficult lesson for me. At no time did this incident affect my job performance or productivity.”

Boston Escorts: Study of movement still moves Wiseman

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

A. His name is Ali Mahdavi. He’s a photographer. But he was brought in because he was very familiar, as he announces, with what he thought of as the Crazy Horse brand. I thank the Lord that I’ve led an honest and clean life, because I knew when I heard that speech that it was just what the movie needed. I’ve never been so lucky as to get someone whose facial expression tells the whole story.
Q. You get the sense that dancers are somewhat equal collaborative partners.
A. The myth is that they’re call girls. But they’re not. They’re ordinary, attractive, 20-to-mid-30-year-old women who went to dance conservatoires and weren’t quite good enough to make the major dance companies but like to dance and don’t have any qualms about dancing naked.

Boston Adult Entertainment: Claiming John L.

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

… After that,” wrote biographer Roy Dibble, “it was perfectly plain to everybody, including his parents, that John was far better fitted to be a pugilist than to be anything else-ball player, tinsmith, or plumber.”
Only a few years later (1882), he won the world’s bare-knuckle heavyweight championship and went on to dominate professional boxing during the rest of the 19th century. The “first significant mass cultural hero in American life,” he brought boxing out of the back room.
“He moved in an environment of workingmen, gamblers, drunks, prostitutes, hustlers, and sporting types of all shades,” wrote biographer Michael Isenberg. “These people formed an important part of the mosaic of Sullivan’s America, one not usually discussed by historians concerned with immigrant groups such as the Irish . . . .” Biographer Donald Barr Chidsey stated that some “lace-curtain Irish” were ashamed of him and preferred not to even talk about him.

Boston Massage Parlors: Police watched massage parlor for year and a half

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

HAVERHILL — State and local police have been watching a local massage parlor for more than a year and a half because of complaints that sexual favors were being sold there, investigators said.

No details about the June 2010 police raid on the massage parlor were available.

The massage parlor appeared to be out of business as of Sunday, police Deputy Chief Donald Thompson said.
Liu and Chen were arrested the evening of Jan. 12 when detectives visited the massage parlor, according to a police report filed with the court.

Investigators said they discovered a used condom on the floor of one of the rooms during the Jan. 12 visit. They also found items in two massage rooms that would not be needed at a legitimate massage parlor, police said.

Boston Adult Entertainment: Wrentham chimes in against casino

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

… Obviously it will effect property values,” said resident Joseph Rico, adding he is also concerned it will put local restaurants out of business. “Even though we don’t have a vote, we have a say and have your vote and signs.”
State Rep. Daniel Winslow, R-Norfolk, said he has heard from hundreds of Wrentham residents, about 80 percent of whom oppose a casino.
“That will fundamentally change the character of Foxboro and surrounding towns,” Winslow said.
“They saved us all a world of hurt,” Winslow said of Foxboro selectmen, noting proponents were expected to spend up to $1 million for a vote for a casino.
Winslow also charged there have been a “series of deceitful” steps toward a casino, from zoning changes and a walkway bridge proposal across Route 1 to bringing MBTA service to the area.
The legislator, a former Norfolk planning board member, also recommended Wrentham develop an adult entertainment district to have some control over such business – especially if a casino arrives.
