Boston Escorts: Barney Frank To Wed Longtime Partner

January 26th, 2012 by bostonharlot

The congressman, who represents Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District, has announced that he will not run for re-election in 2012 because of redistricting changes that would force him to try to represent 325,000 new constituents for only a few years before he retires.
Frank, 71, said that his proposed new district in Massachusetts would be so new it would make it extremely hard for him to represent it properly.
The openly gay Democratic congressman and former chairman of the House Financial Services Committee has served the Bay State in the U.S. House for more than 30 years since his election in 1980.
He announced his homosexuality in 1987, the first congressman to voluntarily do so, following the scandal that surrounded his employment of male prostitute Steve Gobie. He now says he believes his decision to reveal that he was gay “had an impact,” and he came to serve as a role model for other gay politicians.

Boston Escorts: Judge: Lynn rape suspect ‘a danger to women’

January 26th, 2012 by bostonharlot

But Smith’s attorney, Christopher Norris, argued that there was no way for the judge to know what actually happened based only on police reports and witness accounts. Smith claims the woman was a prostitute who was willing to engage in sexual activity with him without pay, Norris said Wednesday.

Norris said there are two conflicting narratives of what happened on the night of the alleged rape: the victim’s report that she was raped and Smith’s account that the woman was a willing prostitute.
But the judge said it didn’t matter to him whether or not the woman was a prostitute.
“(Smith) did either approach an unsuspecting woman and kidnap her and rape her, or he kidnapped, assaulted and possibly raped a person working as a prostitute. It doesn’t make much difference,” Lu said.

Boston Strip Clubs: Haverhill club can open, but go-go is a no-go

January 26th, 2012 by roxy

Grind78 Entertainment’s Marco Joubert told the commission he intends to run “a clean operation.”
“I’m not trying to bring trouble or negativity to Haverhill,” said Joubert, who told commissioners he lives in Haverhill and was born and raised here. “I’m very strict at my events. There’s a dress code and we’re careful not to let anyone under 21 in. We had more than 300 people at the (Sept. 16) show and there were no problems or calls to police.”
Donald Sheldon, a lawyer who owns Academy Plaza and is D’Angelo’s landlord, also spoke on her behalf. Sheldon said he keeps a close eye on his property and would evict Sheldon if she was involved in illicit or illegal activity.
“It’s not a strip club,” Sheldon said of the business in the city’s Bradford section. “It’s a clean operation. I’m on top of it.”

Boston Escorts: Being Human’s Dichen Lachman is a total doll

January 25th, 2012 by bostonharlot

Although most actors pretend that CGI and other special effects fold effortlessly into the performance, she described the foibles of dealing with modern-day techniques. While she dealt with CGI before, she admits it’s the first time she had to incorporate it into the performance through body angles and mouth effects to help with the CGI vampire fang-growing. And, she laughingly described a scene where neither she nor Sam could see through their vampire contacts.
Her self-deprecating, self-aware humor impressed me. She gently mocked Hollywood for its alleged amount of therapists. Then, she laughingly mocked herself for requiring one for relying on her fans’ support. As an African-American, I liked that she remains aware of her race and her position as an Asian actress in Hollywood. She loves science fiction and fantasy because those genres do not pigeonhole her. She joked about a friend who calls himself an “Asian from the future” (which possibly describes her role in the sci fi universe). She enjoys Being Human because it allows her to interact in period drama through its flashbacks without marginalizing her as disposable Asian prostitute #1. She especially mentioned gratitude to Joss Whedon for the variety Dollhouse offered.

Boston Escorts: One woman’s quest for a civil casino debate

January 24th, 2012 by bostonharlot

SUZANNE KREITER/GLOBE STAFF Traci Longa in her home office in Foxborough tending to the Facebook discussion group she started on the casino proposal.
Traci Bridge Longa believes she has a unique vantage point on the debate raging in Foxborough on whether to build a casino on 200 acres across from Gillette Stadium. Longa, 43, grew up in Las Vegas, where her single mother supported two daughters on her salary as a blackjack dealer. For the past nine years, Longa has lived in Foxborough, where she is raising her own two children.
The hot topic in town is, of course, the casino, and Longa was upset over what she was hearing: Critics were claiming that there would be a 300 percent increase in crime, that low-paying jobs would attract unskilled workers and put pressure on local infrastructure, that prostitutes would ply the streets.

Boston Adult Entertainment: Preserving Halloween HQ and the War on Cupcakes

January 23rd, 2012 by afterdarkreporter

In the video below the one about Salem, I posted one about the evil of Eminent Domain, and did a story back a couple years, interviewing a long time owner of a sheet metal fabricating shop in Norwalk, Connecticut.
From my own experience, I felt town hall, the state, and the Federal Government were at war with me for being a homeowner, small business owner, politically active, engaging in Free Speech, wanting my tax dollars to be spent wisely, employing employees who know who their bosses are, us. For that, taxpayer paid goons went to war with me. I lost. Word search my name for that story. Those who were rewarded for helping the government goon war on me, were vandals, prostitutes, drug dealers, thieves, common criminal parasites, and bi-polar sociopaths. Good behavior is punished, bad behavior is rewarded. So is the world run by international corporations and banks.

Boston Strip Clubs: Reputed ex-NE mob boss can appeal bail order

January 23rd, 2012 by roxy

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—
A federal judge in Rhode Island has given a former reputed New England mob boss permission to appeal a decision denying him bail while he awaits trial in a strip club extortion case.
The order issued on Monday means 84-year-old Luigi “Baby Shacks” Manocchio (muh-NOCK’-ee-oh) can ask the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston for bail.
Last week, a lawyer for Manocchio sought permission to file the appeal late. A judge in December denied a request from Manocchio to await trial under GPS monitoring at the home of his physician brother in Glocester.
Manocchio has been locked up at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls since a decision to grant bail was overturned in March. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy.

Boston Adult Entertainment: Connolly Library Commemorates Cuban Culture

January 23rd, 2012 by afterdarkreporter

… It’s a shame,” she explained. “My father was the original owner of El Oriental. I like JP but it’s become too expensive. I used to come to JP to go to Hi-Lo but it has changed the community. Now I shop along Hyde Park Avenue or got to El Platanero in Roxbury. That’s what happens when you have the money. The Cubans in JP are surviving at best. But they are not thriving.”
“A lot of Spanish people came to Hi-Lo,” agreed El Oriental’s Garcia. “A piece of pork that I can buy for $1.99 down the street costs $9.99 there. It’s gentrification. Whole Foods could be anywhere in the world.”
Concerning Cuba’s political situation, Garcia painted an unflattering portrait of his homeland, whose main industries he said are “tobacco, prostitution and rum.”
